On January 27, 2023, on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, UNESCO, the Brazilian Israeli Confederation (CONIB) and the Holocaust Museum (Curitiba) launch the #ContarParaViver campaign, calling on Brazilians not to leave the stories of violence and intolerance disappear.
Created by Cappuccino, which is part of The Weber Shandwick Collective, with production by Elo Studios, the impact campaign #ContarParaViver warns about the importance of preserving the memory of the Holocaust. The inspiration came from the fact that we are losing the survivors of the Holocaust that are still alive, in a few years we know that we will no longer have these eyewitnesses, but on the other hand, we are seeing stories of intolerance and hatred repeating themselves day by day.
The initiative features Holocaust survivors Ruth Sprung Tarasantchi, Gabriel Waldman and Joshua Strul, as well as modern-day Brazilian victims of fanaticism and intolerance – André Baliera, Odivaldo da Silva and Naiá Tupinambá. With narration by actor Caco Ciocler, the campaign comprises three films directed by Cao Hamburger (“The Year My Parents Went on Vacation”; “Workout: Live the Difference”).
“This project is a portrait of Elo Studios’ DNA, which seeks to present to the public themes that not only entertain, but generate reflection and impact. #ContarPraViver follows the line of other productions we made such as ‘A Verdade da Lie’ and ‘You are not a soldier’, which shed light on urgent contemporary themes such as ‘fake news’, ‘intolerance and hate speech’. I am proud to be part of this project”, Sabrina N Wagon, CEO of Elo Studios
“I am very happy to have had the opportunity to participate in this project, creating and producing the track together with the dear and super talented multi-instrumentalist Vitor Zafer, and with the Ultrassom team, Rodrigo Custodio helped to edit, André Tadeu and Carlos Paes mixed, everyone got involved in this beautiful and relevant film, and surrounded by brilliant people, friends and super professionals, director Cao Hamburger, editor Raimo Benedetti, was a true dream team that Cappuccino and Elo Studios, through Vitor Elman and Sabrina Nudeliman rode. And I, as a partner at Elo, am always very pleased when we can take advantage of the synergies between our sister companies to leverage our full potential and deliver a differentiated product”, Ruben Feffer – Partner at Elo Studios
