Contar Para Viver

On January 27, 2023, on the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, UNESCO, the Brazilian Israeli Confederation (CONIB) and the Holocaust Museum (Curitiba) launch the #ContarParaViver campaign, calling on Brazilians not to leave the stories of violence and intolerance disappear.

Created by Cappuccino, which is part of The Weber Shandwick Collective, with production by Elo Studios, the impact campaign #ContarParaViver warns about the importance of preserving the memory of the Holocaust. The inspiration came from the fact that we are losing the survivors of the Holocaust that are still alive, in a few years we know that we will no longer have these eyewitnesses, but on the other hand, we are seeing stories of intolerance and hatred repeating themselves day by day.

The initiative features Holocaust survivors Ruth Sprung Tarasantchi, Gabriel Waldman and Joshua Strul, as well as modern-day Brazilian victims of fanaticism and intolerance – André Baliera, Odivaldo da Silva and Naiá Tupinambá. With narration by actor Caco Ciocler, the campaign comprises three films directed by Cao Hamburger (“The Year My Parents Went on Vacation”; “Workout: Live the Difference”).
