“Ioiô de Iaiá” is a documentary that narrates the relationship of seven couples who have been together for about fifty years. In an intimate tone, we are introduced to the daily life of these couples and discover how they matured together over the years, in reports that recall the dreams that came true, the difficulties overcome side by side and those, today, imposed by old age, the common fears, the changes in the way of perceiving the relationship throughout life and in the context of social transformations in the country in recent decades. Love, loyalty and the proximity of death reveal the challenges and choice of living side by side.
