Trilha dos Ratos – A Fuga de Nazistas para América

Before the end of World War II, Nazi Germany, realizing that it was going to lose the war, planned an escape route so that its high-ranking officers would not be condemned. Thousands of Nazis fled through these routes, with the help of the CATHOLIC CHURCH and the RED CROSS to America. Passports were issued and many criminals escaped and lived prosaically across America in exchange for German money and technology. These trails were called: RATILINES or TRAIL OF THE RATS. Filmmaker MARCELO FELIPE SAMPAIO and historian and writer PEDRO BURINI followed this story, which according to documents and reports passed through the city of Serra Negra in the interior of São Paulo. THE RATS TRAIL is a historical document that helps to understand a very painful and not so distant past, that if we forget it we can easily repeat it.
