Today, only 18% of Brazilian films are directed by women. To change this reality, Elo Studios created Elas Label with the aim of promoting women in film direction. In addition to its strategic performance as a distributor of selected films, Elo Studios works as an incubator. For this, it has a team of 22 consultants — made up of men and women experts in audiovisual in the artistic, executive and legal areas — who contribute voluntarily to the development of the filmmakers’ projects.

In 2020, Elo Studios and ELAS Label joined Telecine and the Cabiria Award - this partnership gave rise to the Elas Label Cabiria Telecine Award. In its first edition, the award included the project Seaside Avenue, by Maju de Paiva, with co-production and distribution contracts with Elo Studios and pre-licensing with Telecine.
The 2021 edition of the Elas Label Cabíria Telecine Award sought new comedy scripts written by women. The winning script - Pet que Pariu, by Adriana Calabró - was awarded a production and distribution contract with Elo Studios and an investment of R$200,000 in the development of the script.
The 2022 edition of the Elas Label Cabiria Telecine Award had two fronts: a workshop focused on audiovisual production and distribution, taught by Barbara Sturm, Head of Content & Sales at Elo Studios; Paula Garcia, Executive Producer; and Gabriel Cohen, Telecine Acquisitions Manager. The second front consisted of a consultancy carried out by the three executives on a project selected within the Cabíria Festival: Mares, by Matheuzza Xavier.
